Member, C.P.I.(M) Alappuzha District Committee.  Expelled from school in 1940 for participating in Congress movement; Joined Travancore State Congress in 1941 and later joinde CPI in 1943; participated in Vayalar Struggle and went underground for two years; associated with SNDP Yogam and Karshaka Thozhilali Union and Chethu Thozhilali Union; President, Thuravoor Panchayat.
