Won State award and Sahithya Academy award for the Stage Play 'Swathi Thirunal', State award for best lyricist in 1989 and 1998, Fask Award, Patyam Gopalan award and Special Jury award for Drama Script and Direction by Sangeetha Nataka Academy. Wrote more than 100 songs for dramas and more than a dozen stage plays like "E.M.S.", "Swathi Thirunal", “Snehichu Theeratha Gandharam", "Vararuchi in 21st century", "Sakhavu", “Subhadre Sooryaputhri”, “Chandanakkottaram”, “Swapnam Vithachavar”, “Utopia 2000”.
