Son of Shri M. P. Moideenkutty Kurikkal; born on 18 June 1950;  Wife: K. V. Ayshakutty; 1 Son, 3 Daughters.

Chairman, Committee on Government Assurances (1998– 01), House Committee (2001-2006).

First Municipal Chairman, Manjeri Municipality; Member, Cochin University Syndicate; President, All India Rovers Foot Ball Tournament; Chairman, Kerala Haj Committee; Member, State Muslim League High Power Committee.

Participated in World Malayali Conference held at Germany in 1990; Individual Champion of Sports meet held for Members of VIII KLA; Delegate to Common Wealth Parliamentary Seminar at London in 1985.
